Arctic Bubbles by Annu Wilenius

Within the wider project of Smoke Signals Sound Annu will participate by sending 'touchable' soap-bubbles from the Trans-Siberian train crossing the Eurasian continent from Moscow to Beijing just below the Actic Circle. She will be blowing these durable bubbles from the train window when ever during her journey the wind will blow northwards. The route of travel is Helsinki (Finland)-Moscow-Perm-Omsk-Novosibisk-Taiga-Krasnoyarsk- Irkutsk (Russia) -Ulan Ude-Ulaanbaator (Mongolia) and will take place between May 30th and June 5th 2011.

Let us know if you are in the region of the Arctic Circle just north of her route, and have seen or touched one of her bubbles. We will put a dot on the map of where the signal was received.
